Agra

We took the taxi from Jaipur to Agra (split 4 ways) and saw Agra Fort along the way.  We arrived around dinnertime and are staying at a very nice hotel (Jenn even managed to barter the price of the hotel for us - I didn't think they would budge at a hotel, but they did - she's WAY better at bartering than I am).  We ate dinner on the hotel's rooftop restaurant where we could see the Taj Mahal while eating dinner.

The next morning we got up at 4:45AM because we'd heard that sunrise (5:30AM) is the best time to see/take pictures of the Taj Mahal.  There were no windows in our hotel room, so it was quite the disappointment to head down to the lobby all ready to go, not realizing that it was pouring out.  It did eventually clear up though (yes!), and we were able to see/go inside this fantastic marble monument.

There were a lot of tourists around, although most of them were still Indian, but I felt a lot more at ease than I had in awhile.  We still had a lot of people wanting to have their pictures taken with us though, and today, for the first time, two separate women also handed off their babies to me to take a picture... Weird...
